What made you want to become an entrepreneur in tech?

After I finished my PhD a mom in Australia wanted to use the therapy technique I developed and reached out to me. I told her I’d make it into an app so her son could use it. I tried to get other companies to pick up the approach and make it an app but failed. I made my first app myself and just kept going. I now have several apps to help children and adults who can’t speak.

Where did you get the idea for your business?

I just wasn’t finding the therapy materials I needed for the population I worked with so I decided to make my own. Each app I’ve made has been to help a specific child.

What is the most rewarding part of being an entrepreneur?

It’s nice to hear how my apps have helped children all over the world learn to speak. I like having the final say on product design.

What are you an expert in?

Application design for individual with communication disorders, particularly autism.

What advice would you give yourself before you started this company?

Don’t hold back!!

When will you feel like your company is successful?

When I generate enough income to be an entrepreneur app developer full time!

Tell us something cool you recently learned, big or small.

Speaking up is a good thing even if it’s scary. Someone has to do it or things will never change.

What’s the biggest thing we can help you with so you can become a billion dollar founder?

Marketing! Reaching those who can benefit most from my apps.

Thanks, Ginova!
